TUE is a specialist Broker, based in the heart of the City of London, who provide access to Lloyd’s and the London Market for Irish-based risks. We pride ourselves on providing an outstanding service due to the longstanding relationships we hold with leading Lloyd’s and London Market Underwriters, as well as our many years of experience specialising in the Irish Market.
We are committed to working as a trusted partner to our Broker Partners, providing them with competitive terms and unique solutions to enable them to continue to win and retain clients. Our people are highly knowledgeable about both the Irish Market and broking into Lloyd’s and the London Market and our Broker Partners benefit from the specialist expertise and advice we provide.
We have facilities to accept a wide range of business including small, individual, annual placements, one-off contracts and large, more sophisticated, or self-insured programmes.

TUE was created in 2007 specialising in the placement of Irish-based risks into Lloyd’s and the London Market. In 2018 TUE was bought by Specialist Risk Investment Limited (now Specialist Risk Group). TUE have continued to service the Irish Market, using their well-established Underwriter relationships to create competitive insurance solutions for their Broker Partners.
TUE have been part of Specialist Risk Group (SRG) since 2018. SRG, the fast- growing integrated group of insurance intermediaries, arrange specialist insurance for corporates operating in the UK and internationally. As part of SRG, TUE benefit from enhanced buying power within the Insurance Market. SRG current employ c.350 employees, 80 of whom work specifically for TUE.
TUE have an exciting future as part of Specialist Risk Group. Each year we are moving up the ranks of the Insurance Times Top 50 Brokers list and are looking forward to this continuing for many years to come.

Our parent company, Specialist Risk Group, is a fast-paced and ambitious Insurance Broker, based in the City of London. SRG has four business units and provides a tailored service to the unique markets and clients of each business unit.
As well as TUE, the other business units within the Group include: Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions – Speciality Clients, Miles Smith, UK Specialty Broking and Specialist Risk Underwriting Solutions – Speciality Underwriting.
As part of a larger group, TUE benefit from the increased buying power we command within the Insurance Market. This allows us to negotiate competitive insurance solutions for our partners.

SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM
In 2020, HGGC, a private equity fund manager, acquired the majority shareholding in Specialist Risk Group.
HGGC are relationship investors with operating backgrounds who seek to build differentiated middle-market businesses. They invest in companies that they believe have leading competitive positions in defensible markets where they can add value via their operating skills and relationships, focusing on sectors such as Financial Services and Business Services.
HGGC have 198 portfolio investments, with a total of $5.4 billion cumulative commitments. They seek to leverage their investor-operator skillsets and deep multi-sector networks to develop preferred partner relationships that encourage alignment of interests as they work to drive positive outcomes that lead to strong references and enhanced networks.
